Kia Ora is a New Zealand greeting from the Maori language.
It literally means "be well" or "be healthy", but is often translated as "Hi!"

Here are a few favorites. You can click on most of the photos for a larger version, keeping in mind that these are not staged or professional photos. I just took pictures with whatever camera I could find, and somewhat in haste, because the photo was standing between me and the food.

There's no "the usual" for me at Kia-Ora. I try almost every special omelet, and occasionally suggest my own changes. They are all good, but some really ring my bell.

Chicken Fajita Omelet - this is a frequent breakfast special, with salsa and sour cream
Grilled Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich - this is a frequent to-go order for me, usually with egg, turkey, and pepperjack. But I tried one dining-in one morning, and the crispness of the grilled bread takes it to a new level.
Recently I had my basic Southern breakfast of two over easy, sausage patties, and multi-grain toast, but I also asked for a couple of slices of feta on the grits. Yum!
Greek Chicken Salad - a nice balance between healthy and filling
Dave"s Special - My friend Dave has a favorite lunch order: at turkey club on white bread with a side salad and Greek dressing.

Yes, this page is UNDER CONSTRUCTION too. I could probably finish it if I didn't eat out so much. :)
